Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By creating an account, signing in, or using Robustly in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
"Robustly," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the developer running this service. "You" or "user" refers to anyone using it.
2. Who can use Robustly
You can use Robustly if:
- You are at least 13 years old, or
- You are under 13 and you are using a privacy-protected version of the app, either with parental consent or under a school authorization arrangement permitted by COPPA.
If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian is aware that you're using the service and is okay with it.
You can't use Robustly if you've previously been banned or if using it would break the law where you are.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password and 2FA codes secure.
- Don't share your account with other people.
- You're responsible for everything that happens on your account, except where it's clearly someone else's fault (like a security breach on our end).
- If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password and contact us immediately.
- You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion is permanent.
4. Not medical advice
The information shown in Robustly, including AI-generated suggestions, mission goals, mood insights, meal verdicts, sleep coaching, and journal reflections, is for general informational and motivational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical professional, therapist, dietitian, or trainer.
Specifically:
- Recommended water, step, sleep, and exercise targets are general guidelines, not personalized medical recommendations.
- Meal scanner verdicts are AI estimates, not nutritional analysis from a registered dietitian.
- Mood and journal AI reflections are not therapy and cannot diagnose or treat any condition.
- Workout suggestions and form notes are general guidance, not personal training instructions.
Always talk to a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise routine, sleep schedule, or mental health regimen, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medication.
If you are in a mental health crisis, please contact a crisis line such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) or your local emergency services.
5. Data accuracy
Most data in Robustly is self-reported by you, including water intake, sleep hours, mood, journal entries, meals, and workout reps. We don't connect to wearable devices or health platforms, so we have no way to verify what you log.
AI-generated content, including missions, meal calorie estimates, and reflections, is generated by language models that can make mistakes. Don't treat AI output as authoritative.
Streaks, levels, badges, and XP are gamification mechanics, not measurements of your health. They reflect engagement with the app, not your actual wellbeing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Robustly for anything illegal.
- Try to break, hack, scrape, or stress-test the service.
- Submit false or misleading information that could harm others (e.g., fake reports, abusive support tickets).
- Send harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful content through the service, including in journal entries, support tickets, or chat features.
- Impersonate another person or claim to be Robustly staff.
- Try to access another user's account or data.
- Use AI features to generate content that violates the AI provider's policies (such as content meant to manipulate, defame, or harm).
- Use the service to circumvent age restrictions or COPPA protections.
If you violate these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account.
7. Your content
You own everything you create or log in Robustly, including your journal entries, gratitude lists, photos you upload, and habit names. We don't claim ownership of any of it.
By using the service, you give us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to run the features you use. For example, we need to store your journal entry to show it back to you, and we need to send your meal photo to our AI provider when you scan it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You're responsible for what you submit. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, and don't include other people's personal information in your entries.
8. AI features
Robustly includes AI features powered by third-party large language models. These features are optional (most are off by default) and have limitations:
- AI output can be wrong, biased, or nonsensical. Use judgment.
- AI output should never be relied on for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions.
- Daily AI usage is subject to limits that vary by account tier.
- AI features may be temporarily unavailable due to provider issues.
- Messages you send through AI chat or AI-enabled journal may be checked for safety concerns. See the Privacy Policy for details.
You agree not to attempt to extract, manipulate, or exploit the underlying AI models through prompt injection or similar techniques.
9. Virtual items and Pro accounts
Robustly includes virtual items such as XP, levels, badges, streaks, and the "Pro" account tier.
- Virtual items have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.
- We may adjust, reset, or remove virtual items if we believe they were obtained through bugs, exploits, or violations of these terms.
- The "Streak Insurance" feature deducts levels in exchange for protecting your streak. This deduction is permanent and not reversible. Make sure you understand this before using the feature.
- Promo codes for Pro access are non-transferable and may be revoked if abused.
- If your account is deleted, all virtual items associated with it are permanently lost.
10. Service availability
Robustly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't guarantee:
- That the service will always be online.
- That features will work without bugs.
- That data will never be lost.
- That AI features will produce accurate or useful output.
We do our best to keep things running, but as a personal project, we can't promise enterprise-grade uptime. We may take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.
We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. If a major feature is being removed, we'll try to give notice through the app.
11. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, attempt to harm the service or other users, or for legal or safety reasons. We'll typically give notice unless doing so would create further risk.
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. Deletion permanently removes your data per the retention section of the Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Robustly is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. (For free users, this means our liability is capped at $50.)
- We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information from the service. You use Robustly at your own risk.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from your use of Robustly will be resolved on an individual basis. You agree not to participate in class action lawsuits against us, to the extent permitted by law.
Before filing any legal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app (via the broadcast banner or notification system) before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Continuing to use Robustly after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
